INAUGURAL INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED IN ADELAIDE

Joshua Gilbert was presented with the First National Real Estate Leadership Award at the 2019 Seven News Young Achiever Awards earlier this year.

Joshua has played an active role in creating greater awareness of the impacts of climate change for farmers. His work has been recognised through:

  • Being invited to take part in Al Gore's Climate Realty Project, resulting in the 'Australia's Young Green Farmers' video, which was viewed in 75 countries by over 100 million people.
  • Co-founding the Australian Farmers for Climate Action, an association which supports farmers to build climate and energy literacy and implement environmentally friendly solutions within the agricultural industry.

Winners each received a trophy, $1000 cash and a $1000 Bartercard account.

Over 400 guests were present during the night, including official guest, The Hon Ray Williams MP, Minister for Multiculturalism, Minister for Disability Services, representing The Hon John Barilaro MP, NSW Deputy Premier to celebrate the high achievers.
