INAUGURAL INDIGENOUS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED IN ADELAIDE
In November 2018, Bridging the Gap Foundation awarded its first hospitality scholarship to a future International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) student. Bridging the Gap Foundation, in partnership with ICHM and AccorHotels, announced Kenneth Abrook as the first recipient of the inaugural Indigenous scholarship. This scholarship was established to provide Indigenous students with the opportunity to pursue a higher education with an accredited institution. In particular, ICHM is the first and continues to be the only official Swiss Hotel Association school in Australia, the world's oldest hotel industry body.
Kenneth is a proud Kaurna man, ascending from country he and his family remain on country in Adelaide. He is also a recent graduate of Warriappendi High School in Adelaide.
Kenneth will officially start as a student at ICHM in January 2019, studying a Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management).
